Dr. Melissa Faulkenberry, D.C.
Dr. Melissa Faulkenberry attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR, and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. For the next three years Melissa attended the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO, where in 1997, she graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While attending Cleveland Chiropractic she specialized in many adjusting techniques such as diversified, gonstead, activator, and extremity adjusting. While in college she was very active in Beta Chi Rho where she served as pro consul, annotator, and magistor. She was also awarded the prestigious John J Llorente Award for outstanding service to her college. Dr. Faulkenberry was also elected to the Who’s Who among American Universities and Colleges.
Since graduation she has worked with both collegiate and professional athletes who have sought treatment from Dr. Faulkenberry and her clinic. She has worked with several athletes from the NFL and multiple collegiate conferences.
Dedicated to her profession since 1997, Dr. Faulkenberry utilizes chiropractic care to improve health and wellness in all areas of her patient’s lives. Whether a patient is suffering from neck or back pain associated with an auto accident, fibromyalgia, and headaches, or overall body pain in general, Dr. Faulkenberry is dedicated to improving the quality of her patient’s daily lives. By employing a “whole person” approach in her care, she can determine the underlying cause or causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, instead of simply treating the symptoms. Dr. Faulkenberry can create a personalized wellness plan to suit each individual patient’s needs because of her commitment to provide the most effective chiropractic treatment available in the central Arkansas area.
Dr. Faulkenberry utilizes more than manual manipulation in her clinic, she is a certified Pro Adjuster practitioner, certified balance training doctor, a pro performance lifestyle advisor, and laser certified.
Dr Faulkenberry is nationally certified in non-surgical spinal decompression. This unique certification program has been approved by the International Medical Advisory Board for spinal decompression and is the first decompression program of its kind to be offered in America.
Dr. Faulkenberry is a past member of the Little Rock Rotary Club, as well as the only Chiropractor on the Medical Advisory Committee, and is the current president in waiting of the Arkansas Chiropractic Society. In 2011, she was honored as a finalist in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper’s “Best of the Best 2011” award competition. She has also served on the Arkansas Board of Health.
In Dr. Faulkenberry’s spare time she enjoys family activities, reading, traveling, hiking, dining out, and playing with her Border Collie, Phelan, and her Australian Shepherd, Ada.
